So did you guys see my old Mars Red GTI running around the track over the weekend?  I just got an email from the guy that bought it saying that he drove it in the HPDE program - Level 1.  Sounds like he had a lot of fun with the car.

Now I miss it.   Sad

I sat and spoke with Eric for a bit - very nice guy and had a great time driving.  Car looked great on track, but then I'm a bit biased Wink

Yeah, we saw it. Mike and I were like, that looks a helluva  lot like your car. Didn't realize you finally sold it.

I've been meaning to say something about me selling, but I guess I never got around to doing so.  I sold the GTI and my 1991 Jeep Cheokee to buy a Dodge truck.  One of my kids is in Westernaires, and has a horse.  I needed something more substantial than the Jeep to tow a horse trailer.

I'm kind of bummed about selling both vehicles, as I liked each of them.  I just don't have room for (or time to maintain) everything I want, though.

I still have my Jetta Wagon 1.8T, so that might get a chip and some suspension upgrades this summer.  Maybe I'll get a chance to go to a HPDE with the Jetta to see if I kept the right car.

Eric did seem like a good guy.  I was happy that the GTI went to him (he really seemed to appreciate what the car was) than some 16 YO kid who would probably just wrap it around a tree.
