All -

We have secured a Saturday Tech Session with Intrigue Detail on May 30, 2009 at 10am. Nick from Detailer's Paradise recommended these guys for a detail day.

Please post up if you are planning on coming as I will need to supply a number to them for snacks etc.

Overall this is primarily a general detailing and maintenance session, but if there is anything you feel would be important to cover we can ask them to cover it.

Hope you can make it, it should be a good time and get us educated and ready for the show season.

Saturday May 30 at 10am

I know it's a little ways out, but the only other dates in the near future were May 17 (VWOTG) and May 24 which is Memorial Day Weekend.

Hopefully we can get the same number together, if there are any specific things you guys would like to see addresses post up and I can pass that info on.

Dammit!

I was looking forward to it too.  Maybe you can host another detail day and pass on your newfound knowledge, ha-ha.

I will definitely be having some sort of detail day once I'm healed up. It will probably be around then. I should be back to 100% by then.

so what is the format for the day?  are we hearing a presentation/demos by intrigue?  are we using the time to detail our own cars there with tips and help from them?   for how much time should we plan to be there?

It's all a mystery....j/k

I'm not 100% on everything. When we did these with DP we got to work on our own cars granted you could only get a couple cars into the garage at DP.

This session will be hands on, so at least one car will be used for learning techniques and using certain products to accomplish the tasks. So not unlike what DP used to do, demonstrate the products with the hope people will purchase them while benefiting from learning how to use them. Prior to our last scheduled day I asked about people working on their own cars at the same time and they were fine with that, but the area can only accommodate 2 maybe three cars including the demo car.

Since we haven't really done anything with these guys before, I'm not entirely sure what to expect, but I hear their sessions are pretty good. It's hard for me to say yeah sure plan on working on your own until we get a feel for the guys running the show.

I do know that if all goes well we will for sure be planning for something around the end of summer to focus on good winter prep.

I expect it to be a couple hours, I don't think it's an all day thing, so maybe 2 - 4hours? I will try to confirm that before Saturday. No one needs to stay the whole time or anything like that.

I already asked along with what was planned for Saturday if they have time to try and go over doing touch ups to the car, like touch up paint, clean up spots. Things like that.
