What kind of beer would you like to drink Saturday night?
« on: July 12, 2004, 10:14:35 PM »
I'm a beer snob.
I love Sunshine wheat and Easy street wheat, but I'm open to suggestions.
Should we:

a) get a 1/2 barrel (full size keg) of one of the above

b) Get a 1/2 barrel of something different (and suggest what)

c) Get a 1/4 barrel of two things (some variety?)

other (make suggestion)

Thanks!
Rian

Hey Rian, I am too.  I like both of those and Fat Tire too.  My vote is for C.  1/4 barrel of two different kinds.

Then the party the next weekend to help you finish them.

I'm very happy with Easy Street (basically anything from Odell's is good with me) and a supply of lemon wedges. Would be cool to have some sort of pale ale (I would suggest cutthroat by Odells, bridgeport or Sierra Nevada) for the sake of variety.

I guess that means I'm voting for C.

I'm all over fat tire...I really hate pale ales, but whatever, I'm not a major beer monger anyway. Get whatever you guys want. ;)

I vote for Fat Tire, or Loft in addition to anything else.  I think Fat Tire is RMCB5's unofficial beer of choice.... :)

Colt 45!
just kidding (picture everyone holding a big 40 in hand).

Loft is my favorite, but anykind of wheat beer would be a great summer BBQ brew.

Schlitz!!!

No, just kidding.  Actually, though, there was a pizza place in Long Beach (near Douglas Aircraft, where I worked) about two decades ago that had a Schiltz Dark on tap.  It was fabulous...

Anything's fine, but I prefer a good porter (preferably just about room temp) over anything else, anytime, with anything.  On a hot day, a colder, lighter beer would probably be better.
