Its not on mapquest and I'm tired of looking. I've searched the crap out of audiworld and am no closer to a decision than I was a week ago.

** EDIT **
ordered koni coilovers - scroll down........

You could consider a Bilstein / Neuspeed setup...

Extra points for you, for one of the best thread titles ever :) as for chooseing a suspension I cant offer you a ton of insite. What I was told when I asked this question was find a couple of A4's similar to yours locally that allready have suspension and take a ride in them, ask to drive them, you know get the general feel for how it rides, handles ect....

Other than that good luck to you. :D

yeah the bilstein shocks and ____ springs is another consideration. H&R and Neuspeed come to mind to fill that blank.

I do need to take a ride in some A4s with different setups to see what I like. A friend of mine just reiterated the rubbing issues eibach users have had with A4s so I don't think i'll go that route.

Pat and Hawk have Bilsteins....Hawk has sport springs on his, aftermarked, Pat has OEM sport springs.  You may want to connect with them to get rides.

I've got Neuspeeds and love them.
I'm probably going to go with Bilstiens

well after some more research I've narrowed it down once again to 2 options:

1: neuspeed bilsteins and H&R sports  - or -
2: koni coilovers

I guess the only thing I'm having a problem deciding is if the koni's are worth the extra 2 or $300 bones...

I was looking at an old review this guy wrote on audiworld - he was going through all the pros and cons of different spring/shock combos trying to decide. Then I looked at his sig which was created after installing the new suspension, it said "koni coilovers"... I laughed.

I think the Koni's are what are used for my KW V2 setup as they are rebound and height adjustable.  I like them but they can be very stiff.

what do you have the rebound set to? That is my next adventure... figuring out how stiff I want the shocks to be. Its pretty scary since its 'set it and forget it'.

I have the rears on full soft and the fronts on about 25% up from soft to hard.

so why go stiffer in the front? I've noticed a lot of folks doing that - wouldn't a stiffer rear be a good thing and reduce the dreaded understeer?

Well I went stiffer in the front so the weight acting on the shocks was the same front and back.  Otherwise, the front will bounce more than the rears when going over the road "features" we have here in lovely CO.
I have had it set to 80% F/R, 0% stiff F/R and 20% F and 0% R (current) and I am where I want to be finally.

Good luck Charles!

I installed the rears this weekend and set them to the highest setting. The dampening I put at one turn, which isn't much since there are 10 turns of 90 degrees in that little space. So they are at 1/10th stiffness.

Just having the rears on I can't tell much difference (if any) in ride or handling. the ride is about like it was, and cornering is not noticeably improved (I know the fronts are about 80% of the improvement).

It does seem to squat less, which makes sense having stiffer springs back there.

Can't wait to get the fronts on to complete the package and really feel some changes! :D
