Couldn't be worse than last time. -perhaps i shouldn't say that.

We gotta find some place not too far from downtown that we can go to test some of this stuff out. On/Off ramps work pretty well for pseudo legal cornering tests. The one getting onto I25 from Colfax is a great decreasing radius with a really long, slightly uphill exit and plenty of time to adjust your speed before you hit traffic.

I'm around as usual.

As much as I like the Wynkoop, it will be nice to go somewhere different for a change.
The industrial district between 30th and I70, east of I25, is always deserted after 6pm -- that would be relatively safe place to test our cars.  It's also a great place to take some cool money shots of our cars.

There's no Rockies games going on that day so anywhere downtown to eat should be fine.
The Keg or Fado's are nearby (Wynkoop and 19th)and their food is good. The Keg has a outdoor patio along Wynkoop which is always a good people watching spot -- lots of beautiful people around there ;)

I am concluding that this is open to all who care to join??  If so then let me know where we are meeting.  I get out of school on that night close to that time, and could shoot to whatever venue is decided upon.  The driving sounds like fun as well.

Thanks

Watch out for the industrial side. I don't think you'll have a problem, but they had a couple HUGE street racing busts over there.

BTW: Fado's is great!

Of course it's open to anyone who wants to come. These are usually very small GTGs so you know. I think we have peaked at 4 people so far.

The Keg is the corner of 19th and Wazee. Exactly one block down from the Wyncoop. We'll see ya there!

The Keg is good, but it is pricey, so if you are planning on eating there plan on spending about $30 - $40 per person.  If you are just hitting the bar portion well that rocks too and is much cheaper for a liquid dinner :).

The food att he Keg is superb though.  The bar area might have a bar type menu with more affordable things.  They have AWESOME steaks.

We went there for my birthday and i had Steak and Lobster Tail.  mmmmmm was so good.

I'd love to try and make it down for one of these mini GTGers.  I might be playing golf with a client that day but if not I'll be there.

I sometimes go to the Keg for their happy hour (afterall it's downstairs from my office).  We usually share a bunch of apps and order their drink specials,
For those who are going to eat a full meal, their food is awesome, especially if you like steak but it's pricey but well worth it ($14-20).  They have more reasonably priced fare such as burgers, pasta, and chicken ($10-15), and like Jay says they also have a cheaper bar menu which you could order on the patio.

Fado's (one more block from Wynkoop) has great food -- it's a irish pub that has a unique atmosphere.  They do have an outdoor patio, but it doesn't have much of a view (unless you consider looking at our cars at the huge parking lot).  Food is typical pub grub and american fare and is very reasonably priced ($4-$12).  A bunch of us used to go there with Jon's hospital crew on Wednesday nights where they have a live music which you could sing along to.

The Wazee Supper Club (on the corner of 15th and Wazee) is a great place for burgers and pizza.  Parking is little harder to find as there are only street metered parking in the area.  They have no patio areas though.

Other suggested places are: Forest Room 5, Shakespere's (both near the REI store), City Grille (Colfax and Logan), BD's Mongolian BBQ (Wazee and 17th)... that's all I could think of at this moment.

Let's do the Keg on the street-side patio.
There's lots of parking around and it's exactly a block from the Wynkoop (where we normally hang out).
