Intermittent boost....???

*Update* Bit the bullet and bought a VAG(you can add me to the list), pulled codes last night. WTF does this mean?? I cleared the codes last night and started it up this morning, and it felt like a coilpack was bad. After about 15 seconds it smoothed out and ran perfectly, but these codes came up when I checked it when I got into work. I just replaced the plugs and gapped them to .028, is the gap too small or what? Any thoughts?

My best guess on that would be the coil packs... especally if it came back after you cleared them.
Have you ever had your coil packs replaced by VW?

This was taken from the 1.8T FAQ off of the Tex so your gap may be too small unless your running a cooler plug.

For every additional 50HP over stock, a general rule is:
--1 heat range colder
--gap shrinks by .004
So, a chipped 1.8T would make good use of a plug one range colder gapped to .028

Hope this helps you get it sorted out...

The number for HR would be awesome. Bob told me to call some lady in HR if I wanted to check the status of every thing but I promptly forgot her name.
Also let me know if that fixes your misfire problem>

Replaced the plugs and torqued them to 22lbs, recleaned the MAF(thoroughly this time)...........no more problems. All codes went away and haven't returned. Thanks for all of the help.
