Need Brake Bleeding How-to before 10/20
« on: October 06, 2004, 05:30:17 PM »
Word. I'm doing my whole brake system at Jon's garage day, but don't know how to bleed the system. If someone can point me in the right direction how-to write I can study, that'd be awesome. Thanks!

First off you gotta get the brake bleeder.  I think Jon knows how it's done.  Hard to believe I bought the thing and I haven't even used it yet :).

It's currently loaned out to BlackA4, but I would assume he is done by now.  Drop him a PM.  There should be the  bleeder, a water bottle lookin thing for catching the fluid and some hoses and rags,

I actually have no clue how to do brake bleeding...but I am sure if it comes with instructions, we can figure it out.  A how to or something like that would be helpful.

JR, do you still have the Bentley manual I loaned you, I think I gave it to you, the info should be in there.

Thanks Matt. I'm about 10min away from you on Parker and Quincy with no traffic

Let me know. I shot you an email on Tuesday too. But haven't checked it yet this morning.

Jon, I do still have the Bently, very nice book. BTW: Did you know that the '99 Passat has a COMPLETELY different maint schedule then all the other years?

ie. TB is not scheduled to be changed until 109K.

I kid you not! I had to look at the schedule three times before I believed it!!
