New "Secrets" within Climatronic / Climate Control
« on: October 14, 2004, 02:40:55 PM »
Ohh, I am sooo excited about this one, because I am a gadget freak!

Anyone with Climatronic as a built-in OBD scanner and display!  You can read vehicle speed, engine RPM's, Temps, much more!

To enter the diagnostic mode, press these button combinations together:

Fan Down
Temp Down (Blue Square)
ECON

This will bring you to a diagnostic display, and using the Temp Up or Temp Down buttons, you can select over 80 + measurements.

16 = Vehicle Speed (in MPH or KM, depending on market)
66 = Engine Revs / 100

For AUDI owners, you can read this article on Audi World, most of which also applies to Climatronic owners as well, but some of the diagnostic numbers are slightly different, and the Climatronic has more measurements.

:) :) :) :) :) !!!!!

Now, where is the boost info??? :)

Ha, these are "old" secrets, but very cool.  I have yet to try it in my Audi. It would be sweet to get the boost info printed out there.

I remember reading about this after I first signed up on CB5 and I was so mad I didn't have climatronic. :)

Careful, one combination will eject you from the car ;)

Well I think most of the other stuff is VAG-COM stuff.

I think it's a nice "secret."  I shouldn't be so quick to say it's "old" news as for any newer owner of a Audi/Passt with climatronic it is "new" and exciting.

Good post, now those that didn't know will be out at their cars during lunch pressing buttons like mad!
