LOL, I tested out the Quattro in teh A6 today, would have been a shame to sell the A6 having never had the chance to take her out in the snow.

4mo flew past me yesterday on the way to Chas' on Hampden..nearly wiped out too.
AWD is only as good as your tires ;)
I've got nice snows and FWD and have NO problems in the snow...in fact...it makes it FUN!
Still wish I had AWD though...

The Quattro on the S4 was AWESOME for getting it into the garage this morning so that I could take the Jeep out and drive to work

you all suck.

I did the nice thing and left the allroad at home today so my wife could use it.  That means I did my commute in the 330i today.  Powerful, wide tired, RWD makes for fun in the snow.   8O

That was very nice of you. I let the girlfriend drive my Grand Cherokee to work so she didn't have to drive her VR6 GTI in the deep snow.

My friend and I had some fun in the snow last night - there is a huge open lot close to where we live which worked fine for um.... 'ice racing practice'! It was my A4, her grand cherokee... and after a while the security guards came out and slid around in their blazer, which was pretty funny.

We took some vids, i'll try to get them up sometime today.

There was enough room to make a pretty good-sized square-ish track in the lot and practice laps - hard to find that perfect balance between barely sliding around the corners and going overboard with the 4-wheel drifting... much fun tho! :D

Looks like you all had a great amount of fun in the snow.  I still had my summers on.... So my car was crippled yesterday.  Interestingly enough I made it up and back to Loveland for Snowboarding on Sunday.  That was a great day!!  Oh, and I have snows now.  Nearly impossible to slide now.  HEHEHE

Toyo Observe snows on all 4 and Z chains on the front mean I can do 50mph in 4 inches of snow on the dirt roads out by my house :D  I feel like im in a WRC snow rally. Im slowly learning how to hang the rear end out in a fairly predictable manor around turns. its tons o' fun.

4motion is nice.  But I'd hate the extra drivetrain loss when would mod the car more.  It would be nice to have though in winter if I lived in a snow prone area.
