I have one, but no helmet...I'm seriously considering it...I think it'd be just plain fun. Too bad nobody has any interest here :(

I am interested, but I have some serious concern about crashing the allroad through the ice.

why is it nobody wants to flood a parking lot somewhere for an event like this?

You're right...that is a good idea. That's my only concern, I guess they wouldn't do it if there was a chance something could fall through.

Flooding a parking lot would be cool, but the water price on that would be huge. Maybe the Pepsi Center. That'd be fun

Well, Georgetown is not even that far in and they drive on it all winter long (starting tomorrow, yes i'll be there!). So if you could actually FIND a good lake that was mostly shaded, and had good access, and was not illegal to drive on (good luck with that one!) then I don't think you would have any problems falling thru the ice.

I can see the headlines now..

Go 180, really went.  Straight to the bottom that is.  A Denver yahoo was driving his red racing machine out on a lake when the ice gave way and down went the vehicle, like a rock.  More at 10.  :)

When I was 16 years old I was driveing my 87 wrangler across a froen pond when the ice gave way and sank my jeep in frozen mud and water to just above the hood. Thank goodness for the snorkel, 35's and the warn winch on the front bumper else I would have been hosed. :D

...Oh and the water not being more than 3 1/2 feet deep...

I just don't want something like this to happen.  My car is really heavy.

I thought I could just drive my way out of it at first, so I slammed the gas to get the tires going but the ice line was above the tires so all that did was sling mud and icey water straght up in the air and all over the jeep. Thank goodness for that winch, crawling out the window and on to the roof  to stick my arm in freezing water to get the winch cable was kinda lame
