where to take my wheels to have balanced, powdercoated etc..
« on: January 07, 2005, 09:53:10 AM »
im getting a deal on some bbs rx they have some small bends but tires balance out to where its barley noticable.... but if i could i would like to get them repaired if the price is right. ontop of that the wheels are powdercoated white so i am going to strip the white powdercoat and do a black with polished lip so i will need them powdercoated, i found a place to do it for 35$ per wheel and sounds like a good place.

as for getting tires put on and balanced it seems places charge an aweful lot for this. what is a good price for this and what is a bad price?

anyone in utah that can help me out here?

also just got some new koni coilovers im going to be putting on woot.

thx fella's

I say stay away. They are not small bends if they are "barley noticeable". Spelling disregarded.

I don't know of any places in Utah, but here in Denver a place called Spec Wheel (IIRC) is where people go for these repairs.

Let us see some pics once you do get them fixed!

Derek, the RX are forged wheels, the repair will weaken them as they probably use heat to repair the bends. I still say you should think about it. Maybe that's why it's a good deal.

OTOH if you can get them balanced without any shaking then just do that if you really have to have the wheels.
