Do a search over at www.passatworld.com/forums and www.audiworld.com on short shift kits or check out what most people have on there cars.

The popular ones are dieselgeek, B&M...and a few others. Neuspeed products are great products though. I'm sure if you have it, you won't regret it.

I did my own. It's not as smooth as one of those other kits you can buy, but then again it didn't cost me $200 either. There is a "How To" on this topic otver at AudiWorld.com.

Is Toy Guy still doing his?  lots of audi world folks liked his work.

Then again, not sure if he ever made one for the A4.  I know he has done them for the 2.7t/ 6spd drivetrain.  hmmm.

I think I spent like $80 on my DieselGeek SS for my B5 Passat.  Was one of the best investments I ever made.  I never got around to getting one for the A6.  I hope to get one for the Coupe though!

I've had a Neuspeed short shifter in my B5 Passat for about 2 years now.  Bought it used even.  No problems with it whatsoever.  Might need to fine tune the adjustment when you first install it, but I love it over the stock shifter.
