I have some time this weekend to whip up a few logo schemes, I know we are all busy these days.

Here are some tips, if they haven't been mentioned already:
- make the logo appropriate for various applications: small and large scale, black & white and in color, window stickers (easy to die cut), web imaging, clothing, etc.
- have no more than two or three colors.  This will simplify different application and printing costs.  Also gradations should be avoided.
- a design that is easily identifiable.  My rule of thumb is to look at the logo at a distance or look at it for a split second, if you could recall a shape or design element you have a good logo design.
- most importantly, keep it simple.

exactly, basically we have only received a couple rough submissions.  We will leave this open until the end of March and then we are going to have to take another route.

So when Jay said it was "here" does that mean we have a new logo?

I didn't say the logo was here, I said the site overhaul was here.  However it is masked by the old theme.  Different topic, different thread ;).

We have a few submissions that need some refinement.  At this time we are still willing to accept anything that folks want to try and create that meats the criteria outlined in this thread.

Yeah, it is still open. However folks have ben pretty busy. We received a good outside submission, but that was kind of it.

If anyone has some great ideas up their sleeve that would be great.

edition719.com recently made a similar request and they had something together in like 24 - 48 hours  8O

Anyway, if you have any ideas, still looking for the same criteria, something that works with different colors, would be good for t-shirts, stickers, banners and so on.

If anyone would like the EPS versions of these files let me know.

If there's honest interest in making this into our logo I can do a much cleaner version that is more useable since I designed these to be made into 1" stickers.

The one on the left is probably a more appropriate direction for us since it isn't just the Wolfsburg crest. If anyone has input on these I'd be happy to hear it.

Hey Al, why don't we just change the name to RM"SUBEE"B5.

Back on topic - I am a fan of the stickers, but let incorporate one into the logo.

Here's a couple of the ones i was playing with a while ago.

The first is clearly the one i just did with the crest as part of it. A slightly uncommon serif font seemed most appropriate for this sort of "grown up" looking concept. It's got a little bit of movement in the characters which makes it feel less pretentious.

The second is more contemporary. It focuses on the mountain bit of our name. It's pretty generic, but I don't think totally ineffectual.

The third I tried to combine shapes of both cars and mountains.

Colors are all completely and easily changeable.

All 3 of these are pretty cool! If I still had a German car I'd like the 1st one best...

One suggestion is to make them more clear that this site is automobile related. No idea how to do actually do that on my own though :?  Maybe a tire tread, twisty road, wheel, checkered flag or something...Just my 2 cents

You could add a simple road right below the RMCB5.COM on #3 and have it like curve upto the hills? That might give little more of a suggestion its car site?

I like #3.  Would you be able to add some mountains on the left side so it looks like the car is driving out of the mountains?

This was discussed earlier in this thread and it was decided that it would be best to keep with the original title.

I can do A N Y T H I N G ;)
Okay, maybe not. Not even close really, but i can do that. Give me a few and i'll see what i can do. I think that may end up cluttering stuff up tho.

As far as changing the name, i'm not really for that even though it's getting dated.
Besides, who wants to break the news to Jay that we need a new Domain Name. NOT IT! ;)

I've got a cool idea for number one. Can you send me that file and I'll just add something to it.
