I'll post pictures shortly i promise.  I think i need to change my name now too.  Last night I picked up my GTI 337.  I traded in the ASS, which was sad, but I left the 20 expensive problems behind.  The dealers in for quite the surprise when they do the safety inspection.

Congratulations!!!! :)  Where did you get her from?  I have only seen a few in the Denver area.

She will have a twin come April!!!  We gotta get both of them together when I get mine and take some picks.

Here are some pics from VWVortex.

Picked her up cheap from gebhardt.  The finance guy, Greg, over there was amazing he spent forever with VW trying to get me approved.  It'd been sitin on the lot for a while so they wanted to sell it, plus its the end of the month so it worked  out much better then i expected.  I'm lovin the 6 speed too, its like a whole new world.  I'm thinking about getting a 337 badge for it.  We'll have to have a photo GTG in april for sure then!!

If my wife ever gives me permission, I want to put the body kit on her VR6...for some reason, VW didn't want to put the body kit on...I guess they wanted the 1.8T's to be their big seller.

I've got a 100K warrenty on the Jetta so I can't do much at all

I am thinking what I may want to do as far as mods go, but since it is a special release, I may just keep it pretty much stock.  There is not much to do to it other than chipping it.

Sarah let me know if you want to change your username, just send me a PM or something.

Also, congrats on the new ride!  I can't wait to go for a drive in it!  Are you going to bring it to D&B on Feb 20?  If so you gotta take me for a ride, I wanna check it out.

I'll be there for sure, i'm gonna roll with the same gti's as last time.  Anyone who wants a ride, just let me know, those recaro seats are so comfortable.  I'll get back to you on the name change, I have to figure out what i want to change it too.

Well, boosted also refers to stolen so maybe something like blondenblack337 or whatever color it is. justa337girl would be cool too. You should give the details and then post a vote thread :P

Really nice looking ride.  337 will be fun, just dont do anything that will decrease its value.

Sarah, A good friend of mine in Ohio has a 337 and he just got the Revo software added.  He liked it well before the sofware but now he said it's a totally different beast.  Something to think about. Oh and congratulations on the ride!

On a side note, it's nice to get out of a ride that has lot's of problems!

Nice car!  I'm sure you'll be happy with the purchase.  Just one question, why is it that when I click on one of the pictures to view a larger image, I get a "Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in..."

Looks to be yet another problem from the security upgrade last night.  I'll look into it today if I have time.

Very nice!!!  :D  Now we just need to get rid of the snow!  :(  I am wondering, are you still running with the stock Pilot tires?  This before anything is what I am going to have to address before next winter.  I have checked Tire Rack and Discount tire trying to get an idea of cost.

Sigh now I really can't wait.  I often drive by my co-workers parking spot just to gaze  :P  .....  Nice thing I found out though is that I am preapproved for a loan through USAA.  I am going to compare to my Credit Union that the Passat is under to see what they can offer.

Yeah i'm running the stock tires that have like 2mm of tread left, so snow sucks.  I've been pricing out tires all day, it's between $86-$160/tire.  I'm still undecided on what brand to get, and i'm not sure if i should break down and get snow tires and a set of beater wheels.  I'd get steels, but i don't know if they'll clear the brakes.

Awesome Sarah, congratulations.  That is a fun car to have and perfect for you.  Enjoy.  Hopefully we'll see you in it at D&B on the 20th.

Are they the same brakes as the R32? If so, there are only a couple of smaller wheel options and unfortunately 17" is as small as you can go. If they're not as beefy as the R32's then you might be able to find a 16" wheel that will fit - but check over at vortex to make sure somebody else with a 337/20th is running them. I know for sure the list at tirerack is not accurate - take a look here for a starting point of what wheel/tire options there are for the R32 (any of these will fit your car):

Oh, the car rocks BTW. I have always loved those wheels... and Recaro seats... mmmmm yummy!!
