« on: June 30, 2003, 01:16:55 AM »
SHE picked it out and decided to buy it. I Swear!

Description:

1992 Corrado SLC with 99k miles. Brand new 6-speed Eurospec tranny and clutch with GTI final drive: quicker off the line but more relaxed on the hiway. Interior is perfect, grey cloth with no rips or tears, black exterior has only minor stone chips. New front rotors & pads, new alternator, new ND fog lights, new Bentley manual. Also new oil filter cover & serpentine belt.

All stock & loaded, includes heated seats, original BBS rims, and everything works from A/C to sunroof to cruise, trip computer, and rear spoiler. Used as a reliable daily cruiser, garaged at home and work.

Super clean, solid body structure, adult-owned. Family 2nd car being sold for new housing. Asking $8,800: tranny in February was $4k.

Got it for $8500.

Does the SLC trim mean it's supercharged? How does it drive Kenny?

Andrew, no, no forced induction.  Just good old displancement. 2.8 liters worth to be precise.

It drives like its on rails. Its an amazing vehicle. A real find, IMO.  I did a little homework on the Eurospec Tranny kits. There's a guy in town who's bought a few short blocks from them. Apparently, they bought something like 600 transmissions from VW. They sell turnkey kits for Auto to Manual conversions all the way up to complete custom setups. Key point is "turnkey".  No clooges.

Don't know about the SLC-leather connection, but I'm glad this one has cloth. My wife likes it better.

The little mother is FAST!!!  Chris followed me home today and she kept wondering why I was going so slow.     We never had that problem when she was driving the Caravan.
