a missing sensor?
« on: February 09, 2008, 02:41:32 AM »
I was changing my oil this morning, and I noticed a loose wire with a sensor connection at the end. It is black and it's split off of another wire with a blue end plugged into the top of my oil pan. I look around and couldn't find any spot where it would belong.

What is this mystery wire?

I had mystery wires all over my Passat. Does anything seem wrong?

no, nothing that would be related to a missing sensor is off. My thermostat is broken, but I don;t think that's anywhere near my oil pan.

btw: On a completely unrelated note - I was talking to Hardie about replacing my new clutch for a performance one. The OEM has lasted 114,000 miles, but I am pretty hard on my clutch, should I get a performance or stick with OEM?

I'd say depends on your needs, just don't do SPEC.
