MOONLIGHT CLASSIC
« on: July 23, 2003, 05:37:44 PM »
For those of you interested, me and a bunch of friends are riding the Moonlight Classic this year.  It is a ride through the downtown streets of Denver, starting at Midnight.  There are usually around 5,000 people there, and it is a complete hoot.  It is only a 20 mile ride, very flat, lots of food, entertainment, etc.  The Ride is Saturday August 16th at Midnight at the Capital.

Before the ride, I am doing a BBQ here at my house starting at 830p with my famous homemade BBQ pork ribs.

If you are interested, either email me or PM me and I will send you directions to my house.

We could all be geeks and wear our RMCB5 shirts and go as a team. 8)

My girlfriend and I will be at the Moonlight Classic this year too! We should wear RMCB5 shirts, except I have to get one first. Will you be at DAR this Saturday? We can talk about it more then. I really like the whole costume aspect of the ride. It should be good fun.

Madigan, I won't be at the DATR...I have to work this weekend, but you are welcome to head up here for the BBQ before hand...as well as any friends that may be doing the ride with you...and of course your GF.  Just let me know how many people will be coming with you, so I know how much to cook.

And I will wear my t-shirt if you guys do.... 8)

I have 9 bicycles...you can borrow one if you want, they may be a little small for you, but you are welcome to one if you want to do the ride.  If no ride, you should at least come over for the BBQ.

Dam* Jon! You're a collector...I think maybe I'll be up for it but I'll have to check with the Mrs. Here's what I'd like if you've got it,
18" Hard Tail,
Rapid Fire shifters,
SPD's,
And good stout rims...
 I'll like to play on stuff, can you hook a brother up?

I'm a little out of shape though, what's the pace?

How about the 18' OCLV Full Carbon Pro Issue with full XTR, rapid fire, SPD, and pretty good rims on XTR hubs.  You are welcome to ride it, but you have to come to the BBQ if you want the hook up, plus I will be cooking more ribs.

the pace is what ever we set.  There will be some slower people with us, and i am slow as well.  There are a few gonzo riders in the group, but they can just wait for us at the finish line :P

Yeah, that'll definately work...problem is though, I left my helmet and Sneakers in UTAH! I think my parents may have rid themselves of them :x
Now I'm in trouble...I'd hate to go out and get some new ones seeing as how I don't have a bike :?
