Anyone enjoy those wild car chase movies of the 70s:?: They were pretty funny stuff, especially Jackie Gleason's sheriff Buford.:D

Sheriff Buford T. Justice, "She insulted my town, she insulyed my son...nuthin' but but pure and simple, plain old fashion communism!"

"Happens everytime one of them dancers starts poontangin' around with them showfolk fags!!"

Bandit to big and little Enos Burdette "It must have been a real bitch getting a 68 extra, extra fat and a size 12 dwarf"

Yeah, the Original is just an awesome movie, the sequels weren't that good.

No doubt, the best lines come from the first film. Although, the idea of transporting an elephant in the second film took some imagination, and at least they worked in Dom Deluise.

Sheriff Buford T. Justice: "What we have here is a total lack of respect for the law!"

to Junior: "There is no way that you could have come from my loins".

Yup...classic. Like the Original Cannonball Run:
"Those guys are more juiced up than that Ferrari"

"Ooo...nice car car father!"
"Thank you asshole."

HA!

Complete threadjack. Sorry.

According to legend the act of using an ambulance as a race vehicle and carrying a bogus patient was done in real life. Brock Yates did exactly that with his wife in an ambulance in the real life Cannonball run race. :)
I like that scene in the original with Jamie Farr as the Arab in the Rolls Royce, he stops off at a fast food joint and a well endowed waitress comes forth to take his order. On being asked what he would like he says, after drooling, milk!
Dom DeLuise was great as Capt. Chaos. You don't get quality comedies like that anymore.
