Jon - I must have misunderstood your email yesterday. The 19th won't work for me but how about the two tuesdays before that..the 12th or 5th?  Or any other day in between the 7-29-03 to 08-16-03?

Hey guys, I'm down with the 5th.  Let's change it up a little...we've been going to D&B's for a while now.  How about some place else like a bar in midtown or the Wash park area?  There's always Abo's Pizza and the Handlebar and Grill at Almeida and Downing...

Or you could go to Las Margaritas or Hemingways on Gaylord St near Wash Park. Hemingways is pricey on food, but they have a nice back area that you could all hang out at and have a couple beers.

I will be un Sunny California while you guys do this, hopefully having a GTG out there too!

Ahhh....it's early, but I'll be around. I leave the next morning for Portland for a week so I may stay home and make sure everything's ready to go, but if it is ready to go....

I'm down with anywhere, just let me know where and when, and I will be there.  I will let someone else choose the location...Rob...should we leave this up to you?

Jon - I'm flexable like th rest of the group so no it does not need to be left up to me.  The Wash park are would be fun.  Open to Pizza or burgers just as long as we have some brew!

Looking good for me.  I work 8:00 to 4:30 next week, so I should be able to get there earlier than normal.

Hey Mike, yeah come on up!

So we are decided on the Handlebar and Grill?  There's no video games, but it is a very cool place and we can do a short cruise around Wash park afterwards too...

It all sounds good for me...anyone have directions for the not so directionally inclined suburban folk?

I will bring my new ride as well

Handle Bar and Grill is on the southwest corner of Alameda and Downing. They aint no chain for rizzle.

For you Jon:

36 east
I-25 south
Exit Alameda (east on Alameda)
Go about 1 mile to Downing and it'll be on your right hand side

Best bet for parking is the neighborhood streets surrounding the place. You're lucky if you find a spot in the parking lot.

Mike,

Going Northbound on I-25, Alameda is the exit after Lincoln, but I don't know the number.  Or you can exit at Lincoln and go down it until you get to Alameda and take a right.

Yay! you picked the only night of the week I can actually make it. Real estate school is keeping me bizzy bizzy every other night of the week! So I should be there. wherever this handlebar thingy is. I would be down for Spanky's again one of these times too, maybe in the fall...

You'd definitely be back tracking a bit if you took the Alameda exit (#207B?) from the south. I think it's actually the Sante Fe exit. All the exits we're talking about are major ones with big signs, we just don't know the numbers. There's crazy construction around there so here's what I'd do:

I-25 north
Exit University (north on University)
West on Alameda Ave. (stoplight)
Go about 1/2 mile to Downing and it'll be on your left hand side

If you miss University or for some reason the exit is closed...

Exit Lincoln (north on Lincoln)
East on Alameda Ave. (stoplight)
Go about 1/2 mile to Downing and it'll be on your right hand side

If you miss University and Lincoln or for some reason the exits are closed...

Exit Sante Fe (north on Sante Fe)
East on Alameda Ave. (stoplight)
Go about 1 mile to Downing and it'll be on your right hand side

What time shall we all meet? Do we want to get a group shot before or after we eat? There is a middle school, just to the east of the HB&G, with a small parking lot we could all squeeze into for a photo shoot and of course the park is right there, but it will be very busy.
