Has anybody ever hooked up a pair of subs with an amp to a stock bose system or know anybody who done it.. I go a pair of 1200 watt sonys with a 1600 watt amp and i don't wanna get a new deck just to get some bass.. :oops:

I don't have Bose, but had an amp + 10" sub wired into the HU and it sounds good. I have even heard of people using the rear deck speakers to tap into for the signal without going to the HU.

So my system is full stock + bass and it works well. Only problem with it, which I probably wouldn't have noticed if the shop hadn't told me, is that as you increase volume on the HU it cuts back the bass... so as it gets louder, the bass signal diminishes. However, I haven't found it to be enough to worry about. Plus, with your 1600 watts maybe that would be a good thing... ;)
