sorry to hear Cole.  check out my post on Audiworld, if you want to rebuild the turbos before putting your car on blocks and having the engine pulled.

But considering what you want to do and the power  you want to get out of the car, maybe a serious upgrade to a much larger turbo would be better....T28 maybe, or something along those lines.

I am under the impression that I might be able to get 400+whp with a Ko3/Ko4/K16 hybrid. (also known as a K04/k16v2) This is all built into a Ko3 housing so I don't have to use expensive RS4 intake pipes etc.

Cole, sorry to hear about that but maybe it's an excuse to do the upgrade.
Good luck

I was complaining the day before to Charles (Hotani) that the car was feeling slow.

I am actually pretty excited. Just did not want to swap turbos so soon.

interesting how we were just talking about those turbos on Thursday. I know deep down you were looking forward to this!!!

Still an inconvenience I'm sure, but on the other side is a 400+whp black S4 waiting.... hehehe.

Yes and No.  Brian has been VERY proactive and helpful. I did order a set of K04s from them($1,990 for both).  I had a line on all the inlet pipes for only $300 but since Brian was so helpful I figured he earned my business so I bought all the inlet pipes from him for about $600. Add in the hoses/gaskets etc and we are at $2,700

Deal was done and I got an email that said they really only have one turbo, not both in stock as was origianally stated.

I understand that problems come up and he only has so much control over them. So I am a bit frustrated but not ready to take it out on them yet. He seems to be working very hard to correct the issue(as much as is in his control)

(I still need to spend at least another $2,500 in parts 8O )

He said he can have the other one within a week to 10 days. He has worked very hard on it and is doing a great job.
