Right. I think I'll join them too. Anything that's worth doing, is worth doing right.

I know a guy that had a front plate made out of magnetic sheet with reflective vinyl... it is perfect for guys that hate front plates. He has NEVER been bothered by a cop... I had to get pretty close up to it to even tell it wasn't a real plate!

He decided to come back today to my neighborhood and give me another ticket, conveniently ignoring the two other cars without front license plates parked just on my cul-de-sac.  So, I went to vinyl. And working on a complaint.

Ouch.  I would just put my plate back on.  Not sure what a complaint is going to get ya - I can pretty much tell you what his/her Sgt. will say - both to you and to him/her.

You can continually be ticketed for not having a front plate on your ride on public roads.  So... either pull it into the driveway or get the front plate on it.  It sucks but it is the law.

HAHAHA! Now I'm just going to make fun of you for being stupid  You didn't put it on the first time so what do you expect? Now that officer knows you don't have a front plate on and if I was him/her, I'd come back every day and write you a ticket just to see how many it takes

I got three no plate tickets downtown. It was the mazda and had no way of attaching my front plate until my wife got pissed and drilled through the bumper. The first ticket I contested in court and got it removed but she said put it back on. The second ticket I contested and she (different judget this time) gave me a dirty look and said I should know better from the last time (not more than a couple months) and made me pay. And the third ticket I got I just mailed in a check. :?

I did the little velcro setup that some other were talking about in my other post.  I was going to put the entire plate back on, but it seems that I'm missing some of the hardware (particularly some of the torx screws).  I don't necessarily mind having to put on the front plate, but this guy seriously drives into my neighborhood, to my car, writes me a ticket, and leaves. There are plenty of other cars (I can think of a riced out Acura in particular) that don't have front plates, and they don't get tickets? And the people at the end of the cul-de-sac don't park along the sidewalk, they park perpendicular to it, so you can't even make a decent u-turn down there, and they don't get ticketed either! I don't mind following the law as long as everybody is held to the same standard, but it feels to me like I'm being singled out.  When he's done, I wouldn't be surprised if he starts ticketing me for tint.

Anyone bringing a VAG COM along?
I need to reset my airbag warning light, headlight warning chime, and auto door locks -- which was caused by my gauage replacement mod.
Thanks!

I'm planning on being at KK. That was an amusing, albeit wet drive down last year.

I'm planning on coming to the show, but I may be heading down a little later than you guys. Since I have nothing to show, I don't think I need to go so early. Plus it is the day after my b-day so I might be in rough shape. :)

Well, I signed up for the autocross today. Who else is autocrossing?  And are we still meeting at KK that morning? We should set a departure time, especially since the KK is nowhere near my house.
