DYNO day 2.... anyone interested?
« on: June 08, 2005, 02:30:41 AM »
I am going to go to MAC to dyno my car again before DATR.  I have seen a few others that seemed interested in dynoing their car again too.

I still have to call MAC and see if I can get some sort of group deal or maybe we can get someone to supply prizes again.

MAC is closed Sunday & Monday.

How does Saturday 18th sound?
I know it will be a max of $50 a car, and about 30min a car.   How many are interested?  LMK

They have an AWD dyno

I would be interested if the timing works out.  I am expecting to go back to work the 16th the latest.  This week would work.. lol.

I have not been to MAC so I don't know, but do they have AWD dyno?

At any rate, if it is scheduled after the 16th, I might be able to make it after 5.  If it is on the weekend I should be able to make that.. although i do not have my schedule yet.

I'd come down and watch, but I've done nothing to warrant dynoing mine again.

On a side note, Jack...remove the hoses?

Hopefully tomorrow, stopping by RS Motorsports tomorrow...  Had to send my ECU to APR.   Joel's soldering iron isn't working... no way to solder on the chip.  PM me your phone # and I'll call you when I have them off.  I do have the other 3 or 4 hoses that I have never used.  I definately didn't get my money of those... that is for sure.

I'd like to try and go, but as I said, I've got two more things to finish up. One, I'm waiting on Randy...RANDY!!!!
The other is all me, I just have to finish it

I wish I could afford to do this, I really want to know what my car is doing... I may just go the cheap route and hit friday night drags at PMI. At least that will give me an idea of if this car is truly modded!

You can compute horsepower and torque (roughly) based on your times and the weight of your vehicle.

Anyone want to do it Monday the 20th?  I'm pretty free that day and know I can make it.  Otherwise looking at work and school I don't think I can make anything before DATR

Several questions:

1) Where is MAC?
2) How much is a dyno run?
3) What time on Monday, June 20th?
4) Does MAC have an AWD dyno?

Thanks,

Ben

MAC
Yes they have AWD dyno
Time can be anytime.
Price I don't know yet, but $50 would be the most we would have to spend.

And Checked with MAC, they are closed on Mondays... So how about Saturday the 18th.

Does that work for peopel?  The more we get committed, the more likely we can get a discount.  LMK if you're definately in and what times work for you on Saturday.  I'll try to set up times and prices if I can get a better feel for who is interested and who is definately going to be there

I can go anytime really, with a few minor exceptions. Just need someone to set a date and a time.

saturday the 18th.  Time is open... depending on how many want to dyno it could be an all day thing.  I believe they are open until 6pm.  a dyno takes about 30 minutes with set up and all.

OK... I am in.  The only way I am out is if they schedule me for that day.  Maybe I will poke over ther on Fri or Sat of this week.  Any idea on costs?

****inserting edit here**** sorry I did not see the post that stated it would be around $50.  Now I know!

I'm in, though I'm not sure I can do it in the morning.  I have an appointment that's up on Sheridan & 10th, so depending on where MAC is...

BTW, Spicoli, you answered my question #1 (Where is MAC?) with "MAC." That doesn't help!

Where is MAC

They aren't very close to my house either, but it is where we had the dyno day just recently and I would like to see what hp increase I have accomplished.

They are in Parker.  Pretty much Parker Rd and E-470.  I just took Parker Rd from i-25 until it went until E-470 and then it is only a couple blocks from there.

That's not a problem, I can head down there.  I'd probably be done with my business at around 11:00, and then add in however long it takes to get from Sheridan & 10th to Parker & E-470...probably awhile. I'm going to say 12:00 at the earliest for me.

25th isn't good for me. I have three birthdays in the surrounding days, and DATR is the next day.

So would like to get a tally of who can make it and who can't on Saturday the 18th.

I can
Ben Can

What about Cole?  Jay?  JerBear? Scott?  Bedhes?

My schedule is very limited until after DATR.  If another day works for everyone else I don't mind setting it up, but it is looking like the only day I can make it is Sat 18th or maybe a random weekday if I can get off work a bit early (or go in late)

I like the 25th better. Ain't nothing like a freshly detailed car on the dyno. Again, I have to get two mods finished up which shouldn't be a problem at this point.

I can do the 25th, but didn't really want to take my freshly detailed car to the dyno after detailling, prefer to do it first.

Some people may have been dropped out of this thread...There was an original Dyno day 2 post 7 days before this one...I personally ignored this one because the title was so similar and I knew I was subscribed to the Dyno Day 2 post.(the original, not realizing there were 2) Since nothing landed in my email, I never checked it.

Original Dyno Day 2 post;-)

I am already on the confirmation list on the AW post though for the 25th.

sounds like a double date to me... Dyno Day followed by a pre-show BBQ detailing party at someone's house! For inspiration... this is how we do it in da' seven one nine:
