Yup...I've seen it running around Aurora. There's been an Elegant Green A4 that just sold from a dealership on Arapahoe.

The EG color is pretty rare all together.  Here in CHS, there is a 97 A4 sedan, but that is the only other EG car that Ive seen around.  EG Variants are even more rare.

FYI, there were no elegant green A4s produced at the factory.  There were a couple green colors, but no EG.  If it was really EG it would've been an aftermarket paint job.

Hmmm, I can only ever remember seeing two different kinds of green A4s.  One is a dark forest green metallic, and the other is a bright, rich teal color.

You mean that aquamarine color?  I really had my eye on that when I was shopping for A4s. Now I'm glad I ended up with black.  You can't really go wrong with black, especially if you like washing your car over and over and over...

...and over.

There are at least three (!) Elegant Green Variants in Albuquerque.  One of them near my neighborhood.  I saw a fourth one just a day or two ago with hood paint that looked like my Scirocco - really bad.  I assume it was a fourth one because it would take pouring acid on the hood of the other three to make it look that bad.  I have made no attempt to contact any of these people because I can tell by looking at them that they are not car enthusiasts.

My wife wants one so bad it hurts.  However, she doesn't want one bad enough to actually go out and earn some money to buy one...  grrrr...

But that would be so cool to have a pair of EG Passats in our garage.  It would be suitable that my wife's would be "variant"... lol!

This thread is beginning to make Elegant Green sound like some sort of special, limited edition paint, or some sort of rare combination that makes the car worth six times as much as it otherwise would be, i.e. 1970 Dodge Charger Hemi Convertible.  8)

Oh. That's the aquamarine color I was so hot about when I was shopping for A4s. I remember McDonald AG had one, a 2000 1.8T, when I was looking, but 1) it had Tiptronic and 2) they wanted too much for it (IMHO).
That is a cool color, I thought Elegant Green was some other sort of dark green or regular green.

Is this the same shade that they introduced the Passat W-8 with? I remember going to one of the VW forums in Germany, either in Ingolstadt or Munich, and they had the Passat W-8 there that they had at the car shows, etc.  It was a similar teal color. I loved it. Then I saw that they were only selling W-8 in Tiptronic here. Big letdown!

I'm not a big fan of green cars, but the EG is a nice color. However, i believe "Fjord Blue" is the Best Rare Passat Color EVAH.

Sorry, EG doods. ;)

Every time I see a fjord blue passat i just stare (mostly because it is so rare to see one, but also because it looks so damn good on a B5 passat!) -- its going to cause an accident one of these days!

wasn't Ville's variant EG?  I did a search and found these shots.....Can't rememeber when he was MOTM on ClubB5, but I searched his name over there and found these shots...

In my opinion, the only EGV worth mentioning.
