City lights!!!
« on: September 09, 2003, 04:37:07 PM »
Well, thanks to a fellow CB5er. I can now have my city lights on with out having the low beam on. For some reason on 98 and 99's you can't have your corners and city lights on. I had to have my low beams on in order to have the city lights on. I was jealous of Winston this weekend because he had his city lights on when we were cruising through Estes Park. 2000ís and up have independent control of the city lights.

So, what I did was just run a wire from the fog light fuse, attached a spade connector on one end, and plugged it into the center slot where the 173 relay is - very simple. It took longer to crimp the spade connector to the wire than it did to run the wire. What this does is trick the system into thinking your DRL's are on, or something along those lines. If youíre interested check out the link with instructions; scroll down and youíll see pictures of the fuse panel.

Nice Mark, have you any pics of it?  I'm so jealous of those headlights.  They look beautiful!

The city lights aren't really this bright. They're just little w5w bulbs.
