Jay, I can't wait to do some

wheelin' next summer.  I love off roading, but have not really had much of a chance to do it in the past.  I should be good to go now.

Wendy, no real mods on this one, I plan on having it as my "beater".  It needs new tires, so I will do that soon, and I really need to work on the

exterior, but the interior is in great shape.  I think I want to keep it pretty much as is, just kinda restore it since it was never garaged.  The paint is

very oxidized on the hood and top of the car, almost all of the window moldings need to be replaced, and I want to re-finish the crash-bar and other

things like the bumpers.  I might put a better stereo in it sometime later, it came with an Alpine CD changer, but the stock HU is a piece along with

the Kmart style speakers  I don't think LR was ever known for their sound systems.

Overall, I am pretty happy with it, but time will tell. I know they are maintenance beasts, so we will see.  I can put 7 people in it though, it has those

2 jump seats in the back...so like Amanda said...we can all go shoeing and go in the same car...the party mobile...aka the

DISCOvery, or Disco for short.  You know me and my lights...I am the disco man   :P

...so when do the multi-color LEDs

and disco ball get installed? There is enough room in the disco to get your groove on... :)

Lights, mood music, disco balls, and

maybe a few of Denver Pat's mods in the back seat to top things off   , J/K.  I think I am gonna leave this one alone for a while...after all, it

is my "beater".  but a plethera of green LED's and a disco ball inside would be fresh

It looks good, it is amazing

transformation.  I didn't think it would get that good.  The shine is pretty good, you can really tell the shine by looking at the reflection of the lights.

Kind of looks like you are buffing off wax residue...  I may bring my other polishes Saturday and see if we can make it look even better.

Your beater is starting to look pretty good.

Jon I have brought my wool pad

today, I think that could help even more.  Did any more of the orange pads disintegrate on you?  Also, since you went to bed early, were you

waking up the neighbors with your detailing in the early morning?

The second one did not get

destroyed...yet.  It is looking kinda tired, so I stopped.  And yes...I woke everyone up at 3am this morning  .  I got most of the car done,

cleaned, waxed, and partly detailed.  Just got back from Checker, got a new rear view mirror, new velcro, 5% tint for the rear, and the Hella lights,

and new tail light bulbs. Gonna be a fun weekend...

I still need to do the sides of the car and the very top...but it is looking better.
