Allow me to introduce myself....
« on: December 02, 2005, 02:33:05 PM »
Hey Guys and Girls,

Just a heads up to introduce myself as jumping into forums unannounced is bad etiquette.

I recently bought my first Audi. It's a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro with a manual trans, winter package, premium sound, etc. I have a very strong Jeep and Japanese car background, but bought an Audi to get me to work and back in comfort while I continue wrenching on my much abused and wheeled Cherokee. The problem is, since I bought my A4, my interest in my jeep has dropped... a lot. It's just too sexy and fun to drive, and leaving it in stock form would be a crime. So, my plans have changed, and I will begin diverting money to that cause as car payments, insurance, and bills allow. A smarter man would have picked a cheaper hobby. ;)

Anyway, my name is Nick. If you live in Colorado Springs, and want a noob to pass and make yourself feel good, let me know. I'm always down to meet up with other car junkies.

Here are pictures of my second toy (I don't have any of the A4... yet)

Welcome aboard Nick, nice rig you got there. I have a 77 Scout II that I have been working on since time began and take wheeling when I can. Cole, another member on here has a built wrangler and does a lot of wheeling as I understand.

You should also check out http://www.edition719.com those boys and girls are in your neck of the woods, another VW/Audi enthusiast group to keep you going.

Once again welcome, and lets see some pics of that A4!

Right on.  I just crossed paths with him over on AudiWorld in the Rockymountain forum.  He has an impressive picture to show to others.

Soon.  It's an embarrassment right now with 4" wheel well gaps and 15" wheels.

Well everyone needs a "before" picture, so nothing to be embarrassed about.

EDIT:

Here is a pic of my Scout circa 2001 on Red Cone:

Here is  a pic from last year with some friends on Medano (heading to the dunes):

I don;t have any "extreme" shots as my scout is all stock.

Welcome Nick! That is a really nice Cherokee. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my 97 Grand Cherokee. It's lifted but that's about it.

I travel down to the Springs every month or so on business. Maybe we can hook up for a pint or whatever! Happy motoring!

Welcome!

Nice Cherokee!  I just sold my 2000 Cherokee Sport about a year ago, but it was pretty mildly modded nothing like yours.

hey, welcome.  just saw you over on Audiworld too.  Nice looking Jeep.  can't wait to see the audi pics.

(I am just waiting to see someone come join this board that owns one of my old audis - that would be a trip).

Welcome again. :D

I actually have thousands of pictures of the Jeep. I am one of the writers at ROCKCRAWLER.COM. as a hobby. So lots of Jeep pictures.  (and if you have the 2005 "Jeep and Off Road" calendar, I am on the cover of that too  )

Here is another fun one from Moab.
