I know it's short notice, but what the hey. I'll be at Winston's around 9am to do my brake pads and rotors, both front and rear. Should hopefully finish before noon. Even if you don't have anything to install or work on, all are welcome to come, watch, and learn.

Again I'd love yto lend a hand but I have plans with the family this weekend.  we are heading up to Indian Peaks to hike the Blue lake trail.

Hopefully my turn will come soon.  TT DV should be here soon and the dampers hopefully in the next week.

Dave,

Bring your vag-com also. I do not have a MIL indicator or anything, but funny idle now and then. Wondering if I have a hidden DTC. We'll talk Saturday.

I was hoping to be able to make it and join in the fun, but it looks like I'll be heading up to Boulder tomorrow for a political meeting.  A friend of mine is running for CU Regent so I gotta lend him a hand.

Hope everything goes well though!

I'm a slug, I keep saying I will come then ditch out. I got really busy at work and didn't get a chance to slip out for a few. I apologize    . I work on the weekends and it's kind of hard to get away when everybody else is out having fun. Maybe we'll try it again sometime.

It was a successful brake install. Thanks a lot Winston! I also played with my door lock settings thanks to Dave and his vag-com. Winston took a few before/during/after pics. I don't have bright red brake calipers, but I've got some nice red brake pads due to the brake quiet paste. I guess I have to wait until next year to test them out at the track.

Sorry I missed the GTG, I had my son this week.  I did do a little wrenching of my own while he was napping on Saturday.  I am preparing for a solo run to LA on Monday night / Tuesday morning.

I am think to stop by some of the tuning shops in the greater LA area and see what is new.  I might get the old "kraut-sled" chipped while I am there, if my business trip is successful.  I would live to compare the difference in the drive home with a chip vs. the drive out w/ out.

Has anyone been to any of the shops in LA?  If so do you find one to be superior to the others?  Any special orders?

I depart Monday at 5 PM, so let em know.

As for the red brake calipers, they look cool, but take quite some time to do.

Well we missed everyone that couldn't attend, but got a lot of stuff done!

Andrew's brakes are on and he is just in the process of bedding them in before we'll know the stompability of them over what he had before.

Pics are up in the gallery, so check em out!

Andrew, Dave, Pat, and Hawk were all there and we did the customary "Taste of Philly" lunch.  Unfortunately, Hawk wasn't aware of this tradition and brought his lunch...

Doh!  Sorry Mark, I knew I left someone out!  Mark's wagon always leaves me jealous, so maybe that was why!

Dub, that new camera of yours takes some pretty good pix.  I think you got it at the right price, too.
