we have had zero luck in finding a baby sitter, so will likely not make it over.  maybe next time.

Those that could make it, thanks for coming out. Alan, your Corzo was definitely one of the favorites. There were about 15 people that showed up at some point or another, and didn't seem to be too much for my small condo so that was good.

You guys missed only one tequila that showed up about 11, that was Oro Azul reposado. So we had the whole lineup, but just not all here at the same time. :)

Now I have to clean up my messy kitchen.

EDIT:
Here's the final lineup of all the bottles that were present at one time or another throughout the night:

1- El Tesoro blanco
2- El Tesoro reposado
3- El Tesoro aņejo
4- Oro Azul blanco
5- Oro Azul reposado
6- Oro Azul aņejo
7- Milagro aņejo
8- Corralejo reposado
9- Don Julio reposado
10- 30-30 reposado
11- Cuervo Tradicional reposado
12- Cazadores reposado
13- Corzo reposado
14- Dos Manos reposado
15- Monte Alban Mezcal

Thanks! Glad you guys enjoyed it. And yeah, I don't make the 'standard' margarita which is mostly sweet + sour. what she had last night was 50% tequila, 25% Cointreau and 25% homemade sweet+sour (lime juice and some sugar). :D

oh and I have your BSG discs burned whenever you want them.

Thanks Charles!  It was a great time.  Sorry I missed the Oro Azul Reposado, I would like to try that.  I'll scare up a bottle.

Oh, as for the Sangrita, this is how I make it.

For about a pint, I use about :

8-9oz of orange juice
4-5oz of Clamato (you can use tomato juice if you want too)
juice of 1/2 a lime
good-sized splash of grenadine
several dashes of Tabasco
a good amount of fresh ground black pepper.

Joel -- we had the reposado at Red Room that night, so you've had it before. I like it a lot, might be a bottle on my counter before too long. :)

Oh and you left your jug-o-sangrita here, let me know if you want it. I might have some, but no way I'll use all of it. I gave it a taste the other night, its good stuff - compliments the tequila quite well.

Charles, nice to know that the Corzo Reposado is really good.  I'd have to admit that the sexy bottle and packaging made me buy it.  I'll definately try the Corzo Blanco and see if the peachy flavors are worth my liquor cabinet.

I had a nice time, thanks for hosting it.
BTW, I wanted to talk to you about your kitchen walls...

So what's the next tasting?  JR suggested Vodka -- maybe we should do a GTG at Red Square in Larimer Square.

Mmmm...yes. Vodka.  :P I may have to host that one since it's my favorite :D. I'm not much one for drinking it with things with the exception of Gimlets. But, let me work up a plan and I can set it up if you all want. But the holiday season is starting up now....

Oh - could you guys give some input on one or two of the tequilas you tried? I'm just curious to know what people thought of the different flavors.

Since I had already sampled all of mine, I only tried the ones other people brought. Out of those, my favorites were: Corzo and Oro Azul reposado. Most interesting was the mezcal which tasted like a smoky scotch I thought.

Out of all the tequilas present, my all time favorite remains a toss-up between El Tesoro reposado and Corralejo reposado. El Tesoro is bright and sweet while Corralejo is stronger in flavor, letting the taste of the whisky barrels it was aged in come through.

Oh - just found out last night (by scientific method we refer to as "sampling") that the "peachy" tequila is NOT the Corzo blanco but rather Don Alvaro blanco which is also in a tallish square odd-shaped bottle which threw me off. It has a very distinctive flavor, and yes - the peach taste is very obvious.

bottle looks like this:
