VAG-COM for REVO SPS3 tuning needed
« on: November 02, 2005, 03:47:11 PM »
I finally sourced a REVO SPS3 serial port switch for a decent price but the more I read about this, the more I realize I can't really tune my car with it properly without a VAG-COM to measure the changes. The technique I've heard is to "set it big and let the knock sensor de-tune" but that seems... retarded, (pardon the timing pun ). The butt dyno is a load in itself too so I need some help data logging

I'd like to find settings for warm weather/cool weather and 91/93 octane based on my car's set-up. I'll need someone who's pretty comfortable with their VAG-COM since I don't know thing one about using the software.

I would also offer my services to anyone with REVO software to adjust their boost/timing settings with the SPS.

Any interest in a pizza & beer GTG on me to make faster cars?

Are you going to be around between 11-12 tomamrow? If so i will swing down with the tool and cable. It is really easy to use and works just like a Vag-com. Just smaller.  you can find the manual at :ProDiag.

I will download the updates tonight onto it so you have the most updated version.

Andrew, if you additional help let me know.  Mark is very good at understanding the logs with VAG-COM.

You can also come by and see your work in person.  The sign looks great!

I may take you up on that, Randy.
I actually swung by a week ago but it was Saturday and nobody was home.

We have a strecth of road that I use to test cars on, but I am not sure if it is long enough.  We can try.  If it is not I will be happy to seak one out.  We can look for the fuzz before you hit it.

Randy -  You going to pick up a keg of Fat Tire Ale for the shop?
