Movies you want but can't get...
« on: November 03, 2005, 02:33:10 AM »
You know one of the frustrations of getting into a digital age from a pre-digital age is that the pre-digital age movies that really are not that old, are just not available in digital format.

A couple I have been looking for for years are Erik the Viking with Tim Robbins, and Yellowbeard.

What other great movies are we missing?  I also know a band wiht a recorded album being held by a large record company for no reason and not getting heard.  What is up with all of this nonsense?

You can get it on VHS, but who wants that.... I can't get it on DVD

Mel Brook's "Robin Hood Men in Tights" - One of his best works ever, second only to Spaceballs

Yeah, and those are actually bad copies...I have one.  No Yellowbeard on DVD though, and no Erik on North American format...I need to get a PAL DVD player.

Carey Elwes is great.  I loved it when he said [making fun of Kevin Costner) "Unlike some Robin Hoods, I have an english accent." (sic)

Anyone remember Time Bandits?  Now that I do have on DVD.  What a great flick.

I got that and made Megan sit and watch it.  She thinks I'm odd...
