For Those who Thought the B6 Couldn't be Hot
« on: November 02, 2005, 01:38:02 PM »
From the tex... SEMA 2005 - Volkswagen Project R-GT

Quote
Modifications begin with a twin-turbo conversion package that features dual exhaust manifolds, each carrying a Garrett GT25R ball-bearing turbocharger. Charge cooling is optimized by twin intercoolers, and the exhaust gases pass through a quad bypass emissions system that retains the stock catalytic converters. It boasts an extraordinary output of 575 horsepower and massive torque to match.

Oh and they did stuff to the Jetta and the T-Reg

Hmmm...interesting....the real question here is, WHY DIDN'T THEY USE MY CAR FOR THIS!!!?!?!?! Well I guess for starters I would need the VR6. :)

I like those cast exhaust tips they used.  Fear the piping in the engine compartment!

If you haven't read the article, they used the 3.2L VR6, from Europe.  I couldn't imagine this with the 3.6L VR6.  Oh wait, can someone get me a towel.

That's hot. Anyone else seen the black B6 running around town? I've seen it once. Nice, lowered, aftermarket black rims...it's sexy.

The Jetta R-GT for the Jetta fans. Same power plant, smaller car.

That passat is sex. Holy crap is that sweet! They did a real nice job on that. That is exactly the rear spoiler I want too. I wonder who made that rear spoiler? Any ideas?

P.S. Ordered the HR springs from Randy yesterday, wheels and rubber waiting in the garage. 8)

Now if I could just get rid of my shitty passenger side door problem. It amkes my skin crawl.

Lets not forget the 500 HP T-Reg, although they should have used the V-10 TDI.
