New to Denver from Florida
« on: December 02, 2005, 08:11:28 PM »
Before I introduce myself, I have to make a request, no Florida jokes.

OK, I am moving to Denver the last week of December.  I am a Florida native, but have lived in quite a few places in the US, Atlanta, Birmingham, Minneapolis.

I am the proud owner of 2 Passats, a 2002 Variant 1.8T and a 2002 Sedan V6.  I am also an airhead, I have a resto custom 63 beetle that is totally restored, lowered on polished Porsche Fuchs, 1776cc motor.

I am moving into the Highlands Ranch area.  I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you folks at a GTG.  I am married with 2 children Parker 4 and Emily 2.

Also, I am a longtime CB5 member.

Scott

Welcome to the clan, Scott.

I will not make any Florida jokes, but I will say that moving out of the Hurricane Zone is a great move on your part.

I look forward to meeting you when you get to town.

welcome to the area.  at least with MN in your history, you won't freeze to death moving here this time of year.

Welcome home.  I'm about ten to 15 minutes from your new place.  Maybe we should have a "Welcome to Denver" GTG?

I think we should totally do a Welcom to Denver GTG...we are in need of a burger beer night anyway.

I am also in Highlands Ranch, until January, then will be in Parker...only 10 minutes away.

Welcome to the area...well, when you get here anyway. :)

I am making the cross country trek leaving on 12/16 hoping to get there on the 18th.   The fun part is that I have to courier my dog, cat and my sons grass snake.  I figured if I get caught in a snow storm I can eat the cat  .  I will be up for a little beer action the 19th or 20th.

Welcome to the "Mile Hi Club", B5 that is!  You will like our state and our club.  The folks here are really cool.

I live abut 15-20 minutes away in Littleton.  I would show for another GTG, It has been too long.
If it ain't broke, take it apart and fix it!

FatBurger went pretty well for the Subie GTG, though the seating was limited for a large group...maybe we can hit CB Potts on Broadway or LoDo's on Quebec? Whatever night is good for me

both of those are great choices....there is also the Rio near Yosemite and Highlands Ranch Parkway.  That is great for food, sitting around, and Margaritas....

That sounds good to me.  I have never been there and I am always up for Margaritas.

I'll come, if it's late enough (I'm working late that week, meaning I'll get out around 7pm).

I'm all for the Rio, not too far from my house. Went there last Friday in fact. Not quite the same feel as downtown. I don't know if it was the fact that I didn't have to wait in line for an hour or the lady walking around with a cart making balloon animals for all teh kids that were there.  Damn I'm old.
