So it looks like I will be the new owner of the Super Coupe

not sure how much you guys know about this car, but I am VERY stoked to have a chance at owning it... here are some pics:

The history on this car started with some guy out in Nebraska who was a multiple year autocross champion in this thing. Mike London then bought it and did a 16v swap and put new suspension on it (bilstein and H&R) along with a strong running 1.8V 16v motor. The car came with a very nice Autopower bolt in cage, all the right sway bars and poly bushings, and Mike strapped in some Recaros just to make it a wee bit better.

It was sold to Vince (another guy in 719) to buy the A8's for Mike's 20th, and Vince and I have done quite a bit of work maintenance on it since we co-drove it for the summer series of SCCA stuff this year.

I just wanted to share, because this car is just flat out cool and means business all day every day. I would like to put a 2.0 16v in it at some point, but I am just happy to get approval from my wife to buy it!

That looks awesome man.  Pretty clean looking without any of the moldings and bumpers.  Keep us posted on things.

The 16v is a nice beast when tuned and modded right.  Im working on my mk2, and will be dropping in a 2.0L long block that Im getting from a buddy for $175.     Coupes are awesome, and they're even more awesome with some forced induction, if you plan to go that route.

Next thing you know, the invasion of the Sub's will be gone, and the invasion of the mk2's will take over.

this car is purpose built for autocross... there will be very little additional modding!

That's awesome Scott.  I remember seeing buildup pictures of that thing and a video where it was doign monster burnouts.  That is definitely a fun ride!

God to see your wife is still supporting the car bug!
