Neighbor...
« on: February 03, 2006, 04:12:27 PM »
Well, I finally talked him into it...

A guy that lives down the street from me has always driven American Muscle. He had a 2005 Roush Mustang GT (suprecharged) until about 4 months ago. He traded it off on a 2005 Escalade EXT, hated that. Low and behold I look down the street yesterday and sitting in his driveway is a 2005 shiney new black Phaeton.
He came by last night and thanked me for talking him into buying a VW. Big thanks to the guys at McDonald for treating him right!

I'm going to take some pics of the Phaeton nose to nose with my 06 Passat. Man his car is nice!

I'm going to talk him into joining this forum. His name is Scott. Good guy.

I might have sealed the fate of my 04 Passat when I sat in a Phaeton the Autostadt in Wolfsburg.  God, what a nice car.  I bought the closest thing to a Phaeton I could afford without major lifestyle changes, an Audi A8 Quattro, 9 months later.

The A8 is an AMAZING car Joel. I drool whenever I see one. The Phaeton is something else though. The rear footrest for the passengers, air conditioned seats, nav etc... He bought the V8 instead of the W12. I mean really, 345 hp is nothing to sneer at! The W12 was way too out of his price range. If I'm not mistaken I think he picked the Phaeton up for 58K, in reality that is a GREAT deal! Black with tan interior. Really sharp combo. He already ordered new wheels for it. I thik 19" but I can't remember what kind. I know they are a black wheel with a polished lip so it should look really sharp.

that sounds awesome.  Sounds like he got a great deal as well.  I test drove both the V8 and the W12, I prefered the V8 more, the way it sounded and the way it shifted.  The one we drove sounds just like his, black and tan, but the seats were heated, AC'd and had massagers in it.  Who needs one of those Sharper Image massagers when you can have a Phaeton or new A8L?  :).....can't wait to see pictures.
