Alignment for my 98 PassAudi around Highlands Ranch?
« on: February 10, 2006, 04:58:13 PM »
Hey everyone, long time no see or hear :)

Before you flame me, I did search for this, I just need a shop closer to home (Highlands Ranch or south Denver), than Boulder or Aurora.  Not to mention, around $50 if possible.  I have a 31/2 year old and I don’t see him doing well on a long drive with a long wait at the shop.

Thanks,
David

PS.  I found a bunch of oil in my turbo cross over pipe!  I was told by a Volvo mechanic that this will happen on all turbos, but even more so with synthetic oil.  Should I be worried?  I have not looked at this in her 45,000 miles and the oil dipstick stays at the top mark between my 5,000 mile/ 6 month oil changes.

Performance Wheel and Tire at Oxford and Santa Fe have one of the new Hunter alignment machines, but I think they run about $100 for all 4 wheels.

Thanks :)

I will look into that.  Do I need all 4 done?  I was under the impression that the rears are not adjustable.

Thanks again,
David

I have no idea on the Passat.  Their number is 303.934.2929 if you want to give them a call and check pricing.

Great, I'll do that.

Anyone have an idea or thoughts on my P.S. about the oil in the x-over pipe?

Thanks again,
David

Ianacole,

THANKS!  I just had the alignment done at 4 Wheelers Unlimited at 3720 S. Lipan, Englewood, CO 80110.  This is the group that does the alignments for Performance Wheel and tire.  I did ask to drive her over to the shop from Performance.  They took good care of the PassAudi, and was done in just over an hour.

Car tracks straight as an arrow  :D  I recommend these guys.

Thanks again,
David

Excellent!  Glad they did you right.  Did you do all 4 or just the fronts?  How much was it?

Ianacole,

I think the rears are non-adjustable, they charged me the 2 wheel alignment.  With tax it came out to be $76.39.  Go through Performance and you get a 10% discount from 4 wheelers regular price.  They quoted me $79.00 plus tax for my Scooby (WRX) which will need all 4 wheels done.

Thanks again,
David

That's a good price.  I had some conversation with them some time ago right after they got the new machine.  I'll be going over and having them do a race alignment for me once I'm done with my front suspension mods.
