Please help?!
« on: February 21, 2006, 04:22:07 AM »
So on Friday I put a new air filter on my car. The other one that I removed was in pretty bad shape. But anyways my car started to run really crappy. When I am just trying to drive like a normal person and the rpm's are below 3000 it acts like there is a complete lack of power. Once it gets above that it is only good till like 5000 and then throws a CEL saying that it is missfiring. I have almost thought about putting back on the old dirty filter to see if that makes it "better," I have no idea what it could be, so please any help would be greatly apperichated.
Thanks,
Help me fix my baby!

No its a boosted vr6. I did check one plug earlier and it was gapped @.44 when it should be .28. I only checked cylinder one, and then my wire puller broke. I then went to VW and got another one for $58 and it broke also. I ordered a metal one. I guess if anyone has a metal puller and is willing to let me borrow it for an hour or so tomorrow that would be cool. That was my frist guess also, was plugs. I have new coil and new wires.
Thanks
