Ordered more parts...
« on: March 29, 2006, 08:22:45 PM »
...they're for the Xterra though :D Calmini shackles and ultra low bumpstops for the going-to-be cranked front end. Now I'll have a little more travel and be able to put on bigger tires...once my financial advisor says I can get them :(

I'm picking up a water punp on Friday and a gasket tonight! Not quite as exciting as your parts buying bonanza.

Heh...International has some crazy stuff...never heard of a punp.

I'll probably do the install with the help of about the only Xterra club member I know ;)

punp is American for poor excuse for a pump since it doesn't even pump anything.

Nice.  We'll going to have to have a 4x4 gtg sometime after may 10th (my last final).

I got my rock sliders the other day... suspension and armor I am just leaving alone right now (not enough money).

Yes we should do a GTG. ...and Jay will have to get the punp installed in his Scout. Ian can take out his CFO's truck

I'm taking my new adopted 15 year old sister out over Easter weekend with my family. She should have a great time as she's never done anything like 4 wheeling before.

I'm having sliders custom made, but am still waiting to hear back on his search for a tubing bender. I'm being a guinea pig for a new design. I'm installing a new OEM rear bumper as mine was munched by the previous owner. I'm not doing much armour right now either...the rear diff plate will be coming soon though. Ha! You shouldn't have to do suspension since yours already came with Bili's but I've heard there is some setup needed or adjustments or something...can't remember where I read that though...

Do you realize that those Calmini shackles and ultra low bumpstops will end up costing you about $40,000 in retirement money? You sould have invested the cash instead of wasting it!

You have to remember that auto parts for auto enthusiasts fall under the category of "lifestyle" and "hobbies" not just transportation.

Many people spend just as much or more on their hobbies.

Wow that is some serious interest if $50 turns into $40K in 35 years! What account is that? Where do I sign up?

Right on!  I'd be down for that.  I think my last final is somewhere around then, if not soon after.
