« on: July 17, 2006, 01:49:58 PM »
There is a group of us planning to be at Bandimere this Wed and hope some of you can make it.  The more German cars the better!  Anyone interested?

It's $30 to run, $10 to watch and goes from 4:30 till 9ish.  We will be meeting in the parking area near the concession stand at 6pm.

I wont be able to make it.

Also, as an FYI, you can't really hotlink to pictures in the AW picture poster, they show up as denied to folks that don't have the image cached.

I have bumped my car up to stage 1 since the last time we hit bandimere, so I may just have to crash your "German" car party! My only concern in the 100 degree days we have been having lately...

I'll just pretend I can't see you.     It will be good to see you there, have you gone since we were both there last time?  This will be my second time, man is it a blast!

Yeah, the temps have me a little concerned too.  It's not going to hurt anything running it hard for such a short time (well, a little longer for you  :P ) but the times are going to suck!

Look forward to seeing you!  Is stage 1 on a Scobbie just software?

I'm going to try to make it out, but i am moving this weekend and have a LOT to do, so we shall see if i can squeeze a few runs in...

I am using Cobb tuning's Access Port. It basically reprograms the ECU and raises the boost from 13.5 to 15.5. So from what i understand I should be right around 290hp at the crank rather than the stock 250. I also changed to a high flow air filter so that should help me a little bit too...

I know I DEFINITELY won't be hitting 13's like you but it should still be a blast to try...

For those of you that missed it...S4 vs STi vid is here!!

290hp is pretty impressive.  I ran with a Legacy GT in on the way to winter park and was impressed with how quick it was.  The extra grunt of the 6-cyl gave me a certain edge on those steep climbs out of the corners, but it was still fast!

Man, that video makes it pretty obvious that the drivers rear brake was enguged now that I KNOW it.  I'll be currious as to what kinds of times I manage tomorrow.  Of course it's hotter than all heck, but hopefully it will still do good.
