I bought some parts over the phone last Thursday.  While driving across country for a funeral on Friday there were several fruadulent charges for high dollar amounts put on my card by ECS. Had to close out the card while on my trip;-(

That SUCKS!!!!!

So what did you buy, or not buy in the case of the charges?  Anything good like a gun so you can shoot them?

You called and gave them the number?  Sounds like someone inside to me...

bummer.  thanks for the info though.  I am probably going to have to find a new source for the Brakes I was looking to get.  I have heard too much bad about ECS in the last week.  this just tops the list.

Are we talking about ECS Tuning? I haven't heard anything about this, what's the scoop?

Apparently several people have had CC numbers stolen and fraudulent charges put on them. It was traced back to ECS tuning. Originally thought was that the website was hacked.

It is obvioulsy happening behind the scenes somewhere.

Oh that's just a terrible shame. I've had nothing but the absolute best experience with them over and over and probably about 40% of the parts on my '03 are from them.

ECS keeps CC numbers on file, or at least used to.  When I ordered things, I used to call and they had my # already on file.  So if they still do that, it could be hacked still.

I ordered tons of things from those guys and never had a fraudulent charge... makes me worry now.

:( I'm scared....

I don't keep anything from existing customers but their address and phone #. I don't want something like this happening. Hope everything works out

I just got off the phone with "ECS Tuning".

I am working with "3Zero3 Motorsports" here in Denver on a project for them.(you will all see shortly). The parts I ordered from ECS were for that project. I put them on my personal CC. My card information mistakenly replaced the CC information for 3Zero3 Motrosports. So all the orders and purchases 3Zero3 Motorsports was making for their customers were going on my card.

holy crap!

So is the ECS credit card problem over then? Is ECS doing anything to help remedy the screw up with your card?

They are making sure that everything is credited correctly. Card was still cancelled by my bank. (Who originally tagged this as fraud)
