OK, I know a lot of you use a particular email application for work, home, etc.

My company was bought out and we moved from Outlook to Lotus Notes.

I just have to vent and say I hate Lotus Notes.  I actually quit my last job because of it and was so happy to be using Outlook, which is great for everything I do.

Any good jobs out there?

I can't believe they made you downgrade, granated PeopleSoft would have to do a major overhaul, but it is well worth the money.  Then again, fending off Oracle takes a lot too.

Where do I sign?  LOL!

Not only that, but we have to pay about 10 times more for our benefits now...and get less vacation...

I'm serious about finding a new job though...I may even have do traveling consulting if I don't find anything nearby...

It's sad how things work.  JD Edwards was always a great company.  Even before I knew you I knew a number of people that have worked their and they always enjoyed the benes and environment.

Now that you have been absorbed, all that changes.

Yep, that is all true.  I thought it would be different since we are so similar on the big things, but it's the "small" things that seem to affect your everyday existence and if those are not right, then they stick like a thorn in your side...

Sorry to hear that Winston.  Welcome to my level of hell.  We switched from Groupwise to Lotus Notes when we left Novell a few years back.  Now with Anthem's acquisitions who are using Outlook, we are starting to find ourselves asking if we should stay on with Notes.  My New Years wish is to be off of Notes and on to Outlook.  :P
If it ain't broke, take it apart and fix it!

ERP software, AS/400, NT, WebSphere, hard to describe actually, but lots of business technical work...not bad if you get in with a good company.
