Busy weekend detailing
« on: May 30, 2006, 12:57:31 PM »
Over the weekend, I decided to get crazy and detail 3 cars.  On Friday, I worked on the Passat and it looks mahvelous!  Saturday, Jim (JAMATHE) came over with his Jetta GLI and we took the wheels off, gave them a good clean and wax job then detailed the rest of the outside.  On Sunday, I worked on the GTI.  So, there are 3 happy cars and one sore person that has a really good case of sun burn on my forehead, arms and legs.  That said I have to say that I am in love with the Porter Cable.  The guys at Detailers Paradise were great and they really hooked me up with some good stuff.  Oh, and Jay, I did mention that I am from RMCB5.  I laughed when telling then that I was politely reprimanded by the RMCB5 powers that be to let them know how I heard about DP. :D

Haha, nice Dave, sounds like you had a busy busy weekend. Thanks for letting DP know about where you're from. ;)

So, since you are a pro detailer now, when are you coming over to do my car? :P

Nice, my car will be one of the ugly cars at DATR (hopefully the only ugly one). :)

It is THE VW/Audi show in Colorado. Lots of fun and the folks that put it on are awesome. Not to mention there is an AutoX and other events you cna do with your car.

There are multiple autocrosses throughout the year, and different organizations hosting them.  http://www.rmsolo.org is the SCCA sanctioned body for hosting Autocrosses, and they hold 12 regular events and a national event every year, plus schools and what not.  The DATR autocross is an independent autocross held only in conjunction with the show.

Nice Dave! I detailed my Xterra (wheels and engine bay excluded) this weekend after I got back from two days of wheeling and camping. Everything I use I got from DP and I also let them know who I was with. The Jetta's gonna get some good loving before the City Park GTG.

Nice dave.

Considering my cars... detailing really isn't in my future.
Xterra, washed once since I got it in January (it looks better dirty)... but clean it did look new
MIata... well, I took some water and rags and wiped it down a month ago for the first time in about 8months.

Thanks for the comments.  As for any more detailing jobs with the club Though I would love to be part of the next one), I have about half of my condo building barganing for my time.  Of course half of them thought I was nuts, but hey, love is shown in many different ways.
