I saw this on CB5:

http://www.clubb5.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=62711

This is a great deal. I paid a lot more than that for mine and didn't get a free euroswitch. :x Though, I know most of us have a euroswitch, this is one heck of a deal. 8O

See this way Jen won't know.  I can just say I traded something for them, which is, of course, true, since I traded money for them.

Yep, I've been there before too.  So trading is about as crafty as I can get now.

Man, these would look really nice on the front end of my car, but then again, maybe I should wait and save up for a set of wheels. But my headlamp leanses are fairly scratched up and pitted. I'm just not sure right now. Well, that and I want a sub for the trunk to go with my new head unit. I finally got it working correctly and it's awsome!!!

Hehe, Chas, I know how you feel.  I want em too, but it looks like that GB is going nowhere.

Well,  did pay for these lamps back in late December and I am still waiting to even hear if they are being shipped. This Cullen guy is a real piece of work. The thread over at CB5 is now 10 pages long and some folks are really upset with him. Me included, though not as much as some there. He has a lot of people's money and he had better come through soon.

I never lie.  I just don't share everything unless asked. :D

Just in case things go south for you Dub remember, "misery loves company."

As for Cullen, He had a few people upset a while back on the the yahoo eurovan forums I frequent.  I tried getting a group buy on the Cabby euroswitch (fits Eurovans too) so I could get my rear fog done but he totally flaked on it as well.   I had about 15-18 EV owners ready to go but he took forever to answer questions and then changed prices and part numbers.  As a result the whole thing fell apart and most ordered drectly from Parts4vw's.  They also had a few choice things to share with me about him (I called them to see if they could pull off the GB for me and they found out I was possibly sourcing through him and shared some previous problems)  After all that I just decided to stay away from him.

GOOD LUCK GETTING THIS RESOLVED!  I really do mean it.

Oh, nice... Now I'm a bit more nervous. :nervous:

If he doesn't pull this one off he'll have more than a few EV owners to deal with. This GB has to be one of the larger ones ever at CB5. That is in terms of money. 300 X 40 plus sales equals a shitload of cash changing hands.  8O  8O  8O  To the tune of more than $12,000 US!

Hey, when you get your new lights, get some clear bra and put it on them. I did mine really easy as well as the girlfriends jetta. you cant even tell its there. works really well and very cheap. you can usually buy the extras/scraps from a tint shop if not they will give it to ya for free.    great and easy mod

Hey Chas did you get your new headlamps yet? I'm thinking about picking up some 3M clear bra scraps at a local tint shop like BlackA4 suggested too. Did you happen to get any clear bra scraps?

No Mark, I haven't seen hide nor hair of them. I guess they haven't cleared US Customs yet. Or some BS like that. I was hoping to have them before the GTg on the 21st. But that seems unlikely now. I haven't gone to a tint shop yet. I think I'll wait until I actually have the lamps. By then winter should be over and there won't be anymore gravel on the roads.      8O  I hope not...

But really, I have to get a new windshield for my car and when I get that done I'll take the car to a tint shop to have them replace the very dark banner shade at the top of the glass like the way my car is now. I love having it really dark at the top of the windshield. It helps my eyes feel better when I drive. I have those pansy ass light eyes that are ultra sensative to strong light.    8)  8)  8)    So I guess I get some headlamp coating then.

Hey Chas, Mark actually informed me that Central Foreign has B5 windshields.  I checked their site and they show that they had 2 available as of the beginning of January.  They were selling for $89.  I'm going to get one in the next couple of months myself.

Do you read any of the threads or just randomly post your thoughts??? :?

In this thread:

I posted the web address.

You even repeated what I had initially said.

Day 107 of the Headlamp Hostage Crisis and still no answers... or lights. Only a promise that they might be coming some time this year, maybe.

I have really been wanting these lampos as I have had to travel into the mountains for many jobs as of late and the stock lamps are sucking wind in those deep dark canyons. Have you ever traveled East bound on Vail pass at night? That place is a black hole. No light can escape it!

Mark, are the lamps you have any better at lighting the road up, or is it simply a cosmetic thing? I hope it's the former.  :?

They may have been slightly better/brighter...they definitely have a different beam pattern (e-code) than the stock headlamps...but, I can't really remember since I upgraded to xenon, after having them for a few weeks...

Chas, do you know what the holdup is?  I know Cullen sells a LOT of stuff on the boards and couldn't live through a bad review from one of the founding members of both ClubB5 and RMCB5!

I'm not sure Winston. I am hoping they get here this week sometime. He is kinda hard to understand in his emails. He doesn't speak or write english very well. And not all my questions get answered. Yes, he is incredible busy with his GBs over at CB5, but I'm getting a little tired of having to wait so long. He has had my money for over 3 months now.  8O  :x  :?

Soon I hope, soon...

On a lighter note, I did recieve my Euro headlamp switch to compliment my E-code lamps, if I ever get them.
