TGTBT: porsche cyenne turbo for $30k?
« on: November 16, 2006, 03:22:43 AM »
Am I missing anything here?
2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, clear title, 9,000 miles, showroom condition, 450hp V8 engine with 6 speed tip, tasteful color combo, nicely optioned.
The wood trim interior is a bit out of place and a bit gaudy, but I'm sure you could have it painted in piano black lacquer for a reasonable price.

Auction ends in one day with no bid with a $30,000 buy it now still up for grabs???!!!
I would totally buy this car if I'm ready to get a new car, eventhough I'm no fan of SUVs.
Here's the eBay listing:

2008 Mercedes Benz C300 4matic Sport
2004 Aprilia Mojito Custom 50

Typical scam, probably a hijacked ebay account.  If you try to register you get the sales paitch asking for money to be sent overseas.

Report the listing and it will go away.

I am not sure what, but there has to be something wrong with it.  edmunds puts the value of that around $75k. I have never met someone who will just willingly walk away from $45K, that 30K price is just way too low.   8O

seller has a 5 feedback and is all from the sellers of products, meaning they have never sold anything on ebay. Thats one of the first things i check, and sounds like a typical scam

It's just a scam.  Contact the guy as he suggests and you can hear the usual song-and-dance (had to leave the country, car will be shipped, funds in escrow...)

They do it requiring pre-approved bidders in order to scam as many people as possible and prevent someone doing the BIN.  When you try to get approved the seller will usually suggest just buying the car for even less money in a private transaction.

Generally the listing is a copy of a recently completed ebay listing, search for a completed listing and you will probably find the one the scammer copied.

I reported the item, so it might go away.
