Upcoming Downtime Jan 19 - 21
« on: January 17, 2007, 06:31:41 PM »
Sometime during the wee hours of the morning in the range of Jan 19 - 21 the server our site is hosted on is getting physically moved from one location to another. So you night owls may be without RMCB5 for a few hours when it is moved.

There should be no data loss, but I plan on doing a db backup tomorrow night "just in case."

In the end the move should be seamless otherwise.

Jon I worry about you most because this is probably when you are at work and need RMCB5 the most! I hope it isn't too painful.  :P

it will be fine.  Things at work have been so busy, I don't get the computer time I used to.  So, no worries, I will survive.

That's no fair!

On a tangent, Gamestop is offering $100 off of a new PS3 if you trade in your old PS2.

So the physical move is complete, it was done sometime early this morning. I hope it didn't have too much of an impact on anyone. One of the potential benefits is the site access should be a bit faster. The equipment is the same, but the lines for the data center ar emuch better and faster.
