Alright everyone, the day has been set as Saturday, February 21st.  It'll be at Winston's place.  I'm sure he'll chime in soon to let us know how early we should be there.

Chas - Is your VAG com software working properly?  If so PLEASE bring it over so we can try to do the tip "sport" mode adjustment.

As far as a garage to use, I'd offer but I have an alley garage that is pretty small with limited working space.  Best suited for "intimate" gtg'ers. Plus I'm in the "hood" and might need you all to bring your Kevlar jackets.

Ok, looks like this'll have to be my first GTG.  Gotta show off the '04 to someone who'll appreciate her!

Right on guys.  February 21st (Saturday) any time after 8am.  Since we have a lot to do, let's get started early.

Chas's VAG-COM works, but it looks like the port in his car is the source of the problem.  I'll send out an email to the list and also try and track down Boris too!

Yeah, the VAG-COM works just fine and I tracked down the issue with my OBD II port. Everything was fine there too. It had to do with one stupid Blue/white wire I used to supply 12V for the powered antenna for my Pioneer HU. It was blocking the VAG-COM from working. It wasn't the K-wire either. I had that one taped off. It was really wierd. By fixxing that one wire I also got my AM reception to work perfectly! DOH!!!

Anyhow, yes, I'll bring the VAG-COM. Anything else?

I ordered my parts today. I should see them next week I would think/hope. Sweet!!! I'm so excited!!! And this isn't really a mod at all, but that nagging image of a trashed cylinder head will also be gone. That'll be nice.

JR,
If you can take your belly pan off without jacking up your front end, then you don't really need ramps or jack stands.  I was able to get by without using mine.

For me, its the one line in my ledger that reads, "Car Repair $3000" 8O
My stuff was shipped on Monday. I should have it soon. I also ordered Beru Plugs and the OEM TT DV. I'll be doing that as well. I hope to have my tails redone by then too, but I'm not so optimistic on that.

Thanks Alan, I can get my belly pan off without ramps...it's work, but I can do it.

Well, I got my parts today...TB kit, underdrive crank pulley kit and a TT DV. I've also got blue tinted aspherical mirrors on the way (on sale at Impex, $40 for both) and a front license plate bracket. I got a used belly pan that I need to install too. See you at 8am sharp!

Wish I could make this, but I will be working.  If you all need to use my Bently, let me know, I will make sure to get it to you all somehow.

Mark, sweet deal on those asphericals...that is about as cheap as I have seen them, even used.

Pat, every time I see this pic, it looks like you should be saying, "whachu talking bout foo!?"

I should be ordering my parts either tomorrow or Monday.  Also, I'm going to be getting brake pads and rotors for my car and Jen's as well.

So I couldn't find the mirrors for my car.  Maybe I'll give them a call and ask if they have 'em, foo!
