I bought the AutoSpeed Performance light wieght pulley. It's a bit more expencive than the ECS UDP, but it's what I wanted.

Cool Chas! I'd like to compare it to the ECS UPD I picked up. We can size 'em up right out of the box!

I don't think they'll be at all the same...the UDP is completely different than the UPD...what is a UPD? :P  :stupid:

JR, you don't know what a UDP is? :?

Let me tell you a little story... So, I went to the dealer to buy some blinker fluid...

oh, we'll save that for another day.

Abbreviated UDP, a connectionless protocol that, like TCP, runs on top of IP networks. Unlike TCP/IP, UDP/IP provides very few error recovery services. DNS is an example of an application-layer protocol that uses UDP. When the DNS application (see section 2.5)  in a host wants to make a query, it constructs a DNS query message and passes the message to a UDP socket (see Section 2.7).UDP is used to carry (SNMP - see Chapter 8 )  data.  UDP is preferred to TCP in this case. :)

On topic....I am going to take a peek at my brakes on Saturday, they sound like they need to be replaced and I just want to see how much time I got left ;).

Right you are Mark, and sometimes it goes according to RFC738 standard and can be used in conjunction with the alternative meaning of UDP, which translated from the original german saying, Up die Pooper, meaning you really f'ed up on that one.

So, the moral of this story is to always never forget to check your sources.

Anyway, sorry for being so silly, I just had to!

Lance, bring that big badboy down so we can check it out.

I made five (5) copies of the instructions after converting them to Word and adding the pics manually, so we should have enough to go around.

I have a rain dance that works, but I don't have an anti-snow dance (my native american heritage is apparently from warmer climes...

Worff, where do you usually take the brake fluid to have it disposed of?  I may take you up on the offer to use the bleeder.  I need to have mine done and the dealer wants $120 for it.

gietl, up in westminster where i live they allow you to throw away " small amount of brake fluid in the trash."  this is from the cities website.  larger quanties can be picked up by the cities household hazardous waste disposal.

I got my TB kit last night from brown and am ready to go.

Worff!  I can't wait to meet you.  After hear Pat talk about you for a long time it will be great to meet you.  Also I want to see that brake bleeder in action so I can do mine this summer.

FYI, we will be broadcasting this day live on the internet.  I will post the URL on Friday.  I created a Yahoo Messenger ID of xRMCB5x for chatting.

This will be friggin sweet.  I think Winston is picking up a webcam as well and the software I grabbed should be able to toggle beteen the cameras at set intervals or at will.

Actually, this just made me think of something.  Are these any of these mods or installs that we're doing that we should look at documenting?  Either by video or photo?  I've got both digitals (as I am sure others do too) but if tehre was someone around to snap pics of stages and phases of an install or mod for future HOW-TOs I think it'd be extremly handy.

I will also volunteer myself for this job.  However, I do want to get my hands dirty some too.  especially since I just got my Mechanix Gloves.
