I have little knowledge of it, but it's breaking up an image into "layers" but they're not photoshop layers. I think you can make layers out of them but not sure. Beyond that, I don't know the process or anything. I do know if I want to have anything printed, I need it done :)

Nope- creating "outlines" or something or other. See link below.

# Vector is a new wave rock band formed in Sacramento, California in the early 1980's by Jimmy Abegg, Steve Griffith and Charlie Peacock. The band had several drummers over the years, including Aaron Smith and Bruce Spencer, both also played drums for The 77s.

Yeah, here's the key for vectoring images:

Printing
One key aspect of vector art is key for printing. Since the art is made from a series of mathematical points it will print very crisp no matter how much the art is resized. For instance one can take the same vector logo and print it on a business enlarge it to billboard size and keep the same crisp quality. In contrast a raster graphic would blur incredibly if it were enlarged from a business card size to billboard size.

I'm hoping he sees it. In the meantime, a friend here at work is going to see if she can do it.

Not necessarily huge- I think it acts similar to a overhead projector- one file you can just blow it up huge style :)

EDIT: Hey! I got what I needed and in the process helped out the firm's design crew by filling them in on a feature they didn't know they had!

Anyway, I just need a copy of Illustrator now  :P It's a cool program though! That and a pen tablet and some quality time building new images out of an original graphic...
