New tube Grill on it's way!!!
« on: January 31, 2007, 05:25:53 PM »
Not for the S4.

This is for my "Trail Clean up Truck" that I am building. Hartley TNT made this custom grill for the truck!!!! (this is the actual unit, he wanted to take a few pictures before he shipped it to me)

Here is the front of the truck as it currently sits. All the KC highlights will mount in the grill and the "bumper thumper" will go away!

Thinking I might paint the entire grill surround in black.

Ian,

The two outside lights will be sideways still.  :)

So the outside lights will be the "Off-Road" lights that can be mounted any direction. The inside lights are actually "driving" lights. So they have to stay upright for the beam pattern.

LOL.  When I read the subject I thought of those BBQs that look like a barrel turned sidways.  Maybe they are smokers or something.
Anyway, enjoy!

My new grill finally got here from http://www.HartleyTNT.com.

They donated this to my "Trail Clean up" project. KC Highlights donated the lights you see mounted in the grill.

Since I am not sure what color I am going to paint the truck yet I am also not sure what color to paint the grill. So what you see here is bare metal. I just wanted to test fit it to make sure everything was going to fit right.

I was also curious how it mounted before I got it so I included a quick mounting picture. Just have to drill 4 quick holes and its done.

I like it!!  What do you think?

I like it too. I would go with black for the grille regardless. Are you going to paint it or powdercoat it?

I'm not sure yet. Powdercoat would look nice but can add more cost to the project.

Yes, but...maybe they will donate the powdercoating if you plead your case. :)
