Spring Detail Day - April 14, 2007
« on: February 20, 2007, 03:30:57 PM »
I realize it's a little early to start planning this, but the warm weather got me thinking about it.  I washed my car the other day and realized how much love the paint is in need of.  All the sand, mag chloride, tar, etc. has really taken a toll on my car over the last few months.
How would you guys feel about having a detail GTG on either April 14th or April 21st?  Both are Saturdays.

Booyah! I'm there any Saturday and may have my unveiling if the weather is nice and the roads are clear of sand.  :D

Hey guys, I just got back from Detailer's Paradise.  Nick said he'd be willing to host a detail day on April 14th!   :D   He's got enough space to do three cars at once, a kegerator ( :beermug: ) and a grill.

Wish I could get the time off from work.

That is exactly 1 year from the rainy detail day we had here last year.

If I am feeling sick, cough, cough, and can't make it to work, I will try to swing by ;)

I know this comment is a bit dated, but I found myself :roflmao:

I might be down for this.  It really depends on the time of day.  I have been recruited as an assistant coach of my daughters soccer team and games are on Saturday.

Even tho I'm a noob, I'm done for coming to this. If that's alright? Considering I have no idea what all would be going down.

Ya know JR, you better be driving back a pretty sweet ride. Cause you've got all of us wondering what the hell you're getting. So I'll be interested to see what ya bring back from Cali.

Great to hear, Andy!  :)

I just got off the phone with Nick.  He said we're welcome to come as early as we want.  He mentioned 8:00, but we could go earlier if people want.  It turns out I will be detailing my own car there on Saturday.  I was hoping to get it done before then so I could help others, but it's not going to work out that way unfortunately.  This is going to take place regardless of weather conditions.
I expect I'll be taking up one of the three bays the entire day, as I have a lot of work to do on my car.   I hope I can get it all done in one day.
For any people that have never been there, it's a great place to hang out.  There is a nice big TV with plenty of car videos, a keg, couch and strippers.  Well....maybe not strippers, but you never know who may show up.

Sweet, I am really looking forward to this Pat, thanks again for setting it up. We are planning on bringing both cars and hoping to do the S if possible, it needs it bad and I bought a bunch of stuff from him last year just before I got sick. :( Need to finally use it.

Hey I am going to tentatively plan to come at this point.  I don't know how long we are going to stay (probably me and Ethan), but we'll come by in the FJ and scare the small animals in the area.

Can't wait!
